Edgar Lee Masters' "Spoon River Anthology" (Institutional Use)

Nice production but much less than I expected
My folks had an LP of the original stage production of Spoon River and memory of it has haunted me ever since. The LP wandered off in the cleanup after my dad's passing, unfortunately. I kept hoping that this production would have been spooled by someone into a downloadable mp3 as had happened with classic Gilbert&Sullivan. But no, just 'collector' copies of the original LP. This was billed as a rework of that classic production -- and the video and historic materials are a nice add. But the production itself was much skimpier than I expected and in the end I was profoundly disappointed. To someone unfamiliar with the prior work this is a nice introduction. But I found it a pale echo of a much better work -- and am not sure I will watch it again.
